INTRO PART II

CLUSTER IN AN

IRON BUCKET

-THE PLOT-

When you walk into your office

and the damn thing turns into

a freakshow behind

padded walls.

PART I:
CHARLIE BOY

When Charles Shoemaker stopped taking the Prolixin, he began to change physically after a time: He aged years in weeks and usually said nothing but "yes" or "no" for days at a time.

If anything.

Then the lobster phase usually set in for him: Charlie Boy now saw the king among crabs everywhere:

on cereal boxes, in canning jars, on the front page of the Miami Herald.

Then he painted and painted; all the garish circus of his delusions.

During this phase, Charlie Boy talked almost continuously (whether to his fellow men or himself) and he consumed vast amounts of beer, dope, and ketamine.

After a few months, his imaginary lobsters grew in size and scope, and they got dangerously close to Charlie Boy: they invaded deep into his privacy...

Into his refrigerator, into his moth-infested closet, into his antique nightstand and under his rickety cherry wood bed.

In the final stage of this hal-lucination drama, the lobsters transformed into alien life forms from the planet Nibiru, while Charlie Boy turned into a violent madman.

PART II:

SAMANTHA

Samantha Dunham sat stunned in front of her TV one day to learn that her old friend Charles Shoemaker, had allegedly killed and eaten 30 people.

Combat swimmers had pulled Charlie's body out of the Kickapoo River, north of Ontario, on the Wisconsin

River near Wauzeka.

State troopers scared away some gawkers, and next to the body bag in which Charlie had been hastily wrapped now lay a huge pile of half-rotted lobsters.

That was the moment when Samantha decided to find out who she had been friends with all these years ...
